Long day

(Posted a day late – was so tired Tuesday night I forgot to hit the publish button.)

Long day. Eighteen holes of golf early this morning, then a little time at home, then a trip to Mt Sterling and back. During the Mt Sterling visit we had an almost-tornado – 80 mph winds, lots of lightning and some torrential rain. It was epic. I managed to drive back to Louisville in a two-hour window between big storms. Right now I’ve got thunder/lightning rocking the skies and some rain coming down. And now that I’m not driving, I’m loving the weather.

I have to put a plug in for the family-run Mexican restaurant we visited during the almost-tornado – La Chicatana. Nice people, great food. Their Chicitana Fajitas are massive and tasty. Definitely my favorite Mt Sterling eatery. Biggest meal I’ve eaten in quite some time.

Hopefully it’ll rain more tonight – nothing is better for sleeping than a big storm.
