Another cold, damp day in “sunny Socal”. This is the longest, wettest, coldest, least comfortable spring in memory. They say we pay the weather tax via high home prices and property taxes. Can we get a refund for 2024?

I spent the morning filling in some details on upcoming travel. A parking reservation and one night’s hotel for the Canary Islands trip. Another call to Scenic to get my deposit back (no confirmation yet). Southwest reservations for trips to Louisville in July and August (that should take care of the cold weather problem). I like being my own travel agent, but there *are* a lot of details to take care of.

The kids leave tomorrow, heading back to Louisville. It’s been great having them here, and the time went by fast. Looking ahead, there’s really no break in scheduled travel/events for me until the end of May. The next 7-8 weeks are going to be *busy*. By the time I get back to Socal with any time to kill, it should be full summer and the cold spring of 2024 will be a memory.
