Pretty great entry into Louisville. An easy plane ride on a 737-700, thankfully built before Boeing went to shit. Comforting. A perfect afternoon with all the flowering trees in full bloom. I thought I might miss the redbud, but nope. I weeded the tiny tomato garden, then took a nice long bike ride. Organized things in the house and made some plans for the week. Good day.
Just as I was winding down with some Noah’s Mill, The Big Chill showed up on TV. That’s one of the movies I must watch when it’s on. That’s the rule. It’s basically perfect – a bunch of college friends re-bonding and trying to understand how and why their lives have changed from those innocent days in their 20s. With killer music and dialogue. And the actors! Every one of them became famous, and these roles highlighted them in their heydays. William Hurt in particular – I miss that guy. He died in 2022 and I failed to take note of it.
Anyway, good day back in the bluegrass.
