I’m doing a lot lately to take my mind off the upcoming elections. The stakes are so high, it’s a bit unnerving. I still remember the helpless, insane feelings the morning after Trump’s two wins. I sure don’t want to feel that again.

So….a busy week or two. Golf is a big time waster consumer. Played several times this week already. I’ve read 2-3 good books, and ready to start more. Today I’m spending time wielding a chainsaw on the CA property, cleaning up some big limbs downed by recent storms. Resting in between chainsaw sessions, I’m doing some unpaid tech consulting for a family member’s company – it might morph into a paid gig, and I find the analysis and advice interesting. I miss that part of working.

Then there’s UK sports – a hoops game last night and a football game today. A banquet of fandom. Last of all, I’m powering my way through the entire Game of Thrones series in the evenings. It’s such a rich, compelling series, one of the best ever.

So there’s a lot to keep me occupied before Nov 3rd. Ten more days…
