I like to learn something every day, and yesterday I surely did. I learned that a morning of heavy chain saw work, then an afternoon with two vaccine injections (flu and Covid), then an evening with a nice helping of tequila, leads to waking up the next morning in pain. Every joint and every muscle hurts, more than a little. I don’t know how long this will last, but…lesson learned.
I’ll take a break on the chainsaw work today – lots of downed limbs on the property from the last storm, so plenty to cut when I feel like it. In fact, I’ll take a break from almost everything. I may pull myself together enough to sharpen the chain – that’s a post-retirement thing I learned to do, and seeing (feeling) the saw cut through wood like a hot knife through butter is fun.
Meanwhile, reading Aaron Rupar’s take on horrific Rethuglican candidates is soothing. It would be nice to think that at least 60% of everyone can agree that these are some pathetic excuses for humanity. Vote ’em out; vote against these nitwits, in exactly two weeks. I’m hopeful.
