Travel day today. Leaving hot and humid Louisville for the cooler Left Coast. Travel plans have changed, so not entirely sure when I’m making the reverse trip. We planned a quick trip to Maine to see the fall colors starting next week, but the leaves aren’t cooperating. As of today, there is almost no change in color, and a week won’t be enough time for that to change. So that trip is off or delayed. Thank goodness that Southwest lets me book and cancel with no penalties. Same for Avis.

So back to Socal, where a hundred little and big chores await. The summer of 2026 is effectively over.
