Heathrow, halfway home

After a long flight on BA’s shitty so-called business class, we’ve made it to Heathrow. One more 11+ hour flight (in a better cabin), and we’re back on US soil. We leave at 10am on 8/5 and arrive at 1pm 8/5, courtesy of an 8 hour time zone change.

I am constantly reminded that we almost waited too long for this trip. It would have been more comfortable 7-10 years ago. And in another five…I just don’t know. This kind of travel is physically taxing. Of course it doesn’t help that I’m still suffering the side effects of the kidney stones and infections. That doesn’t get taken care of until the 8th. I should feel much better then.

Meanwhile, have a lion.
