We’re on the final phase of our trip. S Africa (Joburg) to London Heathrow, and the on to LA. Long waits, layovers, some driving (2+ hours) from LAX to home in CA. All told, about 36 hours in transit. You pay a price for traveling halfway around the globe.

Tough trip in ways (didn’t feel good first 4-5 days), but we saw so much. Africa is gigantic and has so much promise. The S African people are delightful (other than BA customer service).
